Minutes, Highland Beach Town Commission. April 3, 1962. The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. on April 3, 1962 by Mayor Eypel. Also present were Commars Bertash, Jones, Roble and Turner e,nd Town Manager Hartwig. Reading and approval of earlier minutes was deferred, by general agreement, inorder that consideration could be given to Mr. Wm. Mackie who requested issuance of a permit to replace the wall and patio around his swimming pool which had been damaged by the re- cent heavy ground swells and high tides during the first half of March. Mr. Mackie submitted a drawing showing how he poo~agRwsaor~dta wished to carry out the proposed repairs. After some discussion it was the consensus of th® commissioners that they should meet with Mr• Mackie at Bellefont, the following morning and consider the questions involved right on the site. Reading and approval of the minutes of the meetings of February 6th and 13th and the meetings of March 6th and 20th, were made on motion of Comm. 14oble, seconded by Comm. Jones and the affirmative votes of Comm~rs Bertash, Eypel, Jones, Roble and Turner. There was no dissent. The Town Manager advised that the Mayor had issued the proper no- tice$ for the elections scheduled for this spring and he presented officigl filing papers by which the incumbent Town Officials wer® declaring their intentions to stand for election to succeed themM selves. Said papers w®re accompanied by a certification of the Town Clerk and prepar®d Resolution #145. Bertash seeonded the motion and it was approved by the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Eypel~ Jones, Noble and Turner, without dissent. Comm. Conan. Jones moved that the bills be paid. Comm. Turner seconded the motion and it was approved by the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. There was no dissent. The meeting was recessed to 7:30 p.m. on April 1?, 1962 on motion of Comm. Bertash, seeonded by Cd-nun.
