1961.01.03_TC_MinutesT~Rinutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. January 3, 1961 J~ uary 17, 1961. The regular r.~onthly meeting was called to order on January 3, 1961 at 7:30 p.m. by JiceP/Iayor Turner. No one else was present except Town R~Ig;r. Hertwig and for lack of a quorum the vice mayor declared the r±eetin~^ recessed to 7:30 p.m.. on 8'anuary 17, 1961. The recessed meeting of January 3, 1961 was called to order at 7:30 pm. on January, 17, 1961, by Mayor Eypel. Also p#esent were Cor:±m+rs Bertash, Noble and Turner and Town T?gr. 'rIertwig. Corm. Jones Vlas absent. I~anutes of the meeting of December 6, 1960 were read and approved on motion of Conte. Noble, seconded by Comm'r Turner and the affirmative votes of Comrn~rs Bertash, Eypel, Noble and Turner, without dissent. There V'~aS discussion about an advert isin~; sign. of the P.Tarineway Corn. which was erected without x~ermit on the west side of AlA. Cons. Turner moved thatthe Tovrn I4lanager be authorized to take whatever broper steps are necessary to have the sign removed. The motion was seconded by Conur.. Bertash and approved by the affirmative votes of Gor~~'rs Bertash, Eypel, Noble and Turner. There was discussion about the situation at Bellefonte Apts. P~.:ayor Eypel advised that P.7r. I~?ackey told hir- that he had acquired the Hamil- ton land and house and did not intend to continue any work on the re- taining Urall surrounding the Bellefonte pool on the beach. TJo formal action was taken. There was discussion about the beach shack erected by Peter ?~~fest and others . The Town Iianager advised that the sher}~iff ~ s office i~j. ?~elray, ~l?ir. CTordon Lee) had promised to post the broperty and keep off any trespassers. l~To formal action Vaas taken. The Tovm I`eranager advised that Boca Harbour had ?aid their mortgage in full and that a satisfaction had been executed. 1`4o forr~_al action ~r~as taken. There ~nras discussion about the need or advisability of flushing the Tovan water mains. No fDrr~al action was taken. There was discussion about the beach erosion question but no f orn±.al action was taken. It eras generally agreed that during t'n.e winter season the ?~eetings of the cornr^ission be made as short and infrequent as possible and this meeting was adjourned on motion of Coxn~n. Bertash, seconded. by Corr-°~. Turner and the affirx~ative votes of Cor.~z~±'rs Bertash, Eypel, . Noble and Turner.
