1961.05.02_TC_Minutes Minutes. Richland Beach Town Coxxission. May 2, 1961. May 16, 1961. The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on May 2, 1961 by Comm. Turner. No others were present except Town Manager Hertwig and so For leek oP a quorum, Comm. Torner declared the meeting recessed until 7:30 p.m. on-May 16, 1961. The recessed meeting of May 2, 1961 was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on May 16, 1961 by Mayor Eypel. Also present were Commtrs Jones, Noble and Turner and Town Manager Her twig. Comm. Bertash was absent. Minutes of the rsi~n[ meetings of April 4 and April 18, 1961 were read and approved on motion of Comm. Turner, seconded by Gomm, Noble and the affirmative votes of Co~ma~rs Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. The Town Manager submitted plans by Architect Roy Simon for altera- tion and addition to the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Nathaniel Weyl. The plans show a catwalk which extends 22 feet into the setback area on ,~:~,the south side. After some discussion the commissioners agreed that the catwalk was. no worse than many :roof overhangs and Comm. Jones moved that the Town Manager be authorized to issue the required per- mit. Comm. Varner seconded th® motion and it was approved by the af- firmative votes of Commtrs Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. No dissent. The Commissioners steadied the aerial survey made June 22, 1960 and compared the several photographs with the scale map which has been in preparation by Town Engineers Brockway ll~eber & Brockway in order to establish a suitable setback line on the ocean. Af ter careful ex- amination the commissioners were agreed that the vegetation line as shown on the photographs had been transferred to the scale map with reasonable and fair exactitude. Comm. Turner moved that the Town Man+~ tiger be authorized to have the map finished and to have the necessary resolution or ordinance drawn to establish the vegetation line as the high tide line for building setback purposes. The motion was second- ed by Comm. Noble and approved by the affirmative votes of Commis Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. There was no dissent. The Town Manager advised that now was the best time to proceed with major painting and maintenance at the water works and that we should make another try to get a better located well site. By general agree- ment the commissioners authorized proceeding with the two projects. Comm. Turner moved that the Following disbursements be made on the. dates dwe. Chase Manhattan Bank, water bonds & interest--6,900. Bank of Palm Beach, water cert~s & interest--- 4,100. Cownty Sanitation, refuse removal contrast --- 960. Town-Managers Bond 100. the motion was seconded. by Comm. Noble and approved by the af- firmat`~ive votes of Commtrs Eypel, Jones, Nable & Tamer. No dissent. The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Teener, seconded by Comm. Jones and the affirmative votes of Commis Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner.
