1961.06.20_TC_Minutes June ~, 1961. Minutes. Highland Beach Town C®anmission. June 20, 1961. The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on June 6, 1961, by Vice Mayor Turner. Nm others were present except Te~wn Manager Hertw3.g and so for lack o~ a quorum, Vice Mayor Turner declared th.e meeting recessed t• 7:30 p.m. on June 20, 1961. The recessed meeting of June ~, 1961 was called t® order at 7:30 p.m. ®m June 20, 1961 by Vice Mayor Turner. Also present were C®aam~rs Bertas6a, Jones and- Noble and Town Manager Her twig. Mayor Eypel was absent being out of town. Minutes of the meetings of May 2 and May 16, i961:_were read and ap- pr®ved on motion of C~umn. Noble, seconded by Comm, Bertash and the affirmative votes sf Coamaa.~rs Bertash., Jones, N®ble and Turner. There was ne dissent. Town Manager Hertrvig reported that the usual notice of the meeting ®f the Equalization B®ard on. Tax Assessments had been posted Por tke First Tuesday in July but that he doubted whether the Tax Roll could be coatrpleted in that time because the County Tax Office was making an entirely new reassessment. The Town Manager submitted invoices for two non-routine disburse- ments and requested approval for payment. ©ne was the sum of X266.15 to H®ward 1~'. Smith Bookkeeping Service fer the 1960 audit; the other the sum ®f X75.66 t® Halsey & Griffith for a f®ur drawer file case and office supplies. .Approval et payment of these two items was given by ffiotion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Oman. Bertash and the af- firmative votes of Commtrs Bertash, Janes, Noble and Turner, There was no dissent. The meeting was ad30urned on motion of Cc-mm. Bertash., seconded by C cmnn.
