Minutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. July 4, 1961.
July 25, 1961.
The regular mont~.l.y meeting was called to oridr by Vice Mayor Turner
at 7:30 p.m, on July 4, 1961. Ao ethers were present except Tmwn
Manager Hartwig as it had been agreed that,because cif the hcaliday,
the meeting would be deferred. Vice Mayor Turner therefore declared
that for lack of a quorum he would recess tl~e meeting until 7:30 p.m.
on July 25, 1961.
The recessed meeting of July 4, 1961 was called to mrder by Mayor
Eypel at M:30 p.m, mn July 25, 1961. Also present were Commis
Bertash, Janes, Noble and Turner and Town Manager Hartwig.
Minutes of the meetings of June 6, 1961 and June 20, 1961 were
read and approved en motion of Comm. Turner, seconded by Comm, Janes
and the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Eypel, Jones, Hable
and Turner. There was nm dissent..
The Town Manager presented bill of Brockway, Weber & Brockway for the
amount mf X200.00 fdr work ®n the map based on the 1960 aerial survey.
He also advised that the Br+~ckway firm were willing to continue as
Engineers to the Tewn for flee same basic retainer as formerly, which
is X300.00 per year. Comm. ?urner moved that. payment of thine two
amounts, totalling X500.00 be made to Broclmay. Tl~e motion was sec-
onded by Comm. Janes and approved by tl~e affirmative votes mf Cc~n'rs
Bertash, Eypel,.Jones, Noble and Turner, witkout dissent.
The motion described in the foregoing paragrapB also embraced ap-
proval of payment to Howard Lee Cramer, Inc. of their invoice dated
June 27, 1961 for the. sum of X31.60 for water line repairs.
There was discussion of the new town map based on the aerial survey
and of the general reviaien mf tke Town Zoning laws which has been
in progress for the past year. It was generally agreed that the
August meeting should be held en schedule and that special attention
be given tm the zoning matter.
The meeting was ad ~ m~rned on mot ion oP Comm. Noble, seconded by C ~.
Jones and tl~e affirmative votes of Momm'rs Bertash, Eypel, Janes,
Noble and Turner. There was no dissent.
