Minutes. Iiighlan8 Beach Town Commission. September 5, 1961.

The meeting was called to order,~at 7:30 p.m. by Comm. Turner, ~'o
others were present except Town Manager Eertwig so for lack of a
quorum, Comffi. Turner declared the meeting recessed until 7:30 p•m•
on Monday, September 25, 1961.
The recessed meeting of September 5, 1961 r-as called to order by
Mayor Eypel at 7:30 p.m. on September 25, 1961. Also present were
C omm ~ rs Bertash, Jones and Turner and Town Manager ~iertwig. Comm.
Noble was absentibeing out of Town.
The minutes of the meeting of the Equalization Board, held on Aug-
ust 1, 1961 were read'. ?he minutes of the regular monthly meeting of
the Town Commission, held on August 1, 1961 were read. The minutes of
both meetings were approved as read, on motion of Comm. Turner, sec-
onded by Comm. Jones and the affirmative votes of Comm~rs Bertash,
Eypel, Jones and Turner. There was no dissent.
the Town Manager read letter from the Resources Development Board of
P.B. County, requesting that we name a director to fill the upcoming
aspiration of the term of William Mackie. After some discussion it
was decided to re-nominate Mr. Mackie for another term. Comm. Jones
moved that =ill3am Mackie ~e reappointed to succeed himself as a dir•
actor of the aesources Board, representing the Town. The motion was
seconded by Comm. Turner and approved' by the affirmative votes of
Comm~rs Bertash, Eypel, Jones ar~d Turner, without dissent.
The Town Martage~equested approval of payment of the quarterly sum
of $960. due September l5, 1961 to the County SanAtation Company for
refuse removal; also the sum of X330. to B.B.Bo1dt Inc. for road
work per estimate of 8/15/61. The two payments ware approved on mo-
tion of Comm. Turner, seconded by Comm. Jones and the affirmative
votes of Comatrs Bertash, Eypel, Jones and Turner, without dissent.
The Town Manager submitted a report in the matter of securing an
improved location for the Town water wells. The report follows on
the following page,. page 2 of these minutes,
