Minutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. December 5, 1961.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:34 p.m. on December 5, 1961
by Mayor Eypel. Also present were Commis Jones, Noble amd~Turner
send Town Manager Hartwig. Comm. Bertash was Absent.
Minutes of the meeting of 2tovember 7, 1961, were read and approved
on motion of Gomm. Turner, seconded by Gomm. Noble and the affirma-
tiee votes of Gomm'rs Eypel, Noble, Jones and Turner. There was no
dissent.
The Town Manager reported progress on the map which the Town Engin-~
ears are preparing to show the ocean front property line and to ac-
company and be part of the new zoning law now in process. He re-
quested approval of a work order for an additional sum of $254,40
to carry on the work on the map. Gomm. Turner moved that the addi•*
tional work order of X250.00 be authorized. The motion was seconded
by Gomm. Noble and approved by the affirmative votes of Commis
Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner, without dissent.
The Town Manager reported that X. H. Kirk,who has been operating the
water works for several years, is due to retire on social security
on January 1, 1962, and that h® is talking with several posssible
successors for th® work. No formal action was taken.
There was discussion about the recent fire at Bellefonte Apartments.
By gen®ral agreement the Mayor was requested to act as a commitA~ea
of one to ezplore the question of whether there was some way we
could make some reimbursement to the neighboring Towna~ra-gav® us
valuable assistance at the time of the fire. which
The meeting was ad3ourned on motion of Comm. Jones, seconded by
Gomm. Turner and the affirmative votes of Commis Eypel, Jones,
Noble and Turner.
