Ivlinutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. September 6, 1960 September 20, 1960. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on September 6, 1960 by Vice Mayor Turner. No one else was present except Town R~lanager H~rt- wig and so for lack of a quorum, Comm, Turner declared the meeting recessed to 7:30 p.rn, on September 20, 1960. The recessed meeting of 9~6~60 was called to order by T~~ayor Eypel at 7:30 p.m. on September 20,.1960. Also present were Comm is Bertash, hones, Noble and Turner and Town b1an. Hartwig. ~~inutes of the meetings of July 5, 1960 and July 29, 1960 were read and approved on motion of Comte. Turner, seconded by Comm. Noble and the affirmative votes of Co~nmirs Bertash, Eypel, Jones, iWOble and Turner. There was no dissent. Letter wasj~read from Mayor Glenn Sundy of Delray Beach relating to the possibility of building an incinerator to take care of refuse disposal of an area which would include a nursber of municipalities in the souththern part of Palm Beach County. It was the concensus of the Corrunissioners that ~~~e should send a rebresentative to any meet- ings which would be held on the subject and that the matter should be tabled until there were further developments from Delray Beach officials. Iv""-otion to that effect was made by Comm. Bertash. It was seconded by Comm. Jones and approved by the affirmative votes of Commtrs Bertash, Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. There was no dissent. Town P°anager Hartwig requested authorization to transfer from the Delray Beach National Bank, Certificate of Deposit X31, in the amount of X8,070.00 plus interest to maturity, to the Bank of Palm Beach & Trust Company, Acct X1320. Purpose of the transfer to keep up the Town's balance against anticipated disbursement on'account of the current contract for Improvements to the ti+Iater ~Jorks. Comm. Turner moved that the transfer be authorized. The motion was seconded by C Comm. Jones. and approved bt,~ the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Eypel, Jones, noble and Turner. There was no dissent. The To~rt~n I;"a n. presented and read letter dated 8~24~60 from I~~r. ~ r11rs. S. C. Roth requesting removal of a water service line running generally along the rear property line of Ferndale Apartments. He also resented and. read report dated 913160, with related maps and diagrams, explain- ing the situation concerning the water line in question. After careful consideration it was the unanimous conclus~hon of the Commission that the request of Per. & I~i;rs. Roth was improper and should be denied. Comm. Jones moved that the h~ayor or Toj~n l"anager be requested to send a let- ter to i~~r. ~, I~"rs. Roth outlining the position of the Town and denying the request. The motion was seconded by Comm.. Bertash and approved by the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Eypel, TJoble, Jones and Turner. After the commissioners reviewed the i~Fsyor final budget estimates as set forth in `resolutoxi ;x`99, Coma. Jones moved that they be approved a:nd that Resolution. y'99 be adopted. The motion .was seconded. by Comm, PToble and °approved by the' affirmative votes of Commis Bartash, ~ypel, Jones, Noble and burner. There was no dissent. `I'he Town RTana~er requested authorization to nay invoices c~ac~rk of Hotaard Lee Cromer, dated 9/6/60, in the amount of70.00 for raisin water meters. Comtta., Jones moved that the authorization be granted. The motion 'w~zs"'seconded by Comm. Bertash and approved by the af~'irma.- tive vote. of Coinrn~rs Bertash, Eynel, 'Jones, Noble and Turner.
