A regular rlonthly r.~eeting. October 18, 1960.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m, on October 4, 1960 by
Vice~ayor Turner. No one else was present except Town TJtan. Her twig
so for lack of a quorum Vice T~iayor Turner declared the meeting re-
cessed to October 18, 1960 at 7:30 p.m.
The recessed meeting of October 4, 1960 was called to order by lt2ayor
Eypel on October l8, 1960 at 7:30 p.m,. Also present were Commtrs
Bertash, Jones, i~Toble and Turner and Town Tian. Hertwig.
?:Finutes of the meetings of August 2nd, 9th and 23rd, 19n0 and those
of September 6th and 20th, 1960, were read and approved on motion of
Corrim. Jones, seconded by Comm. Bertash and the affirmative votes of
Comm~rs Bertash, Jones, Noble, Turner and Fypel, without dissent.
Letter dated October 12, 1960 from J. A. Sowers was readin which Mr.
Bowers complains about neighbors dumping trash near his property.
There was discussion on the matter and it vacs decided to have a no-
tice sent to residents advising against the practice.
There was discussion about an alteration job which was done at the
R?autilus Apartments, where no permit was applied for. It was deci~dd
that this problem and that about the trash dumping, be included in
one notice and sent to all residents with t'ne next water bills. The
motion to take tis action was made by Comm. Turner, seconded by Cornrn.
Jones and approved by the affirmative votes of Cornmtrs Bertash, Eypel,
Jones, Noble and Turner. There was no dissent.
There was discussion about the decrepit state of the former warehouse
of ;"r. '"otterdale, which has now become an eyesore. The Town T~"anager
was requested to take the matter up with P~"r. Totterdale and see what
could b e done a'o out i t .
There was discussion about a beach shelter built by some 'goys or.
young rzen from Delray Beach, T,;r. ~Jm Rupp having complained about i-t
to Comm. Bertash. After some discussion it tnras decided that the
shelter Ft'iight 'oecome a nuisance and the Totftrn r,"anager was directed to
order it T s removal. The motion to take, this action v~ras made by Cor.3n?.
Noble, seconded by Comm. i~ertash and approved by the affirr~zative
votes of Comrntrs Bertash, Eynel, Jones, Noble and Turner.
The Town T~"ana~;er called attention to the r~,aturing of two certificates
of deposit at the Delray Beach iJational r->an~ and requested that he be
authorized to transfer these funds to the !=>ank of palm Beach & Trust
Co. for use soon in paying for the new clear well at the vJater works.
T'nese are Certificates J`36--Amount, 8,202.34 maturing about 11~11~60
and Gertifscate `38--Amount, :3,863,44 maturing about 11~9~60.
Comx~~, IUoble moved that the requested transfer of funds be authorized.

votes of Commfrs Bertash, Eypel, Jones, P?oble ~`. Turner, without dissent.
