1959.03.03_TC_MinutesMinutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. March 3, 1959. ( A regular monthly meeting ). The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Mayor Eypel. Also present were Commis Bertash and Noble and Town} Mgr. Hertwig. Comm1rs Breckinridge and Winston were absent. &~inutes of the meeting of February 3, 1959 were read and approved on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Bertash and the affirmative votes of Commis Bertash, Fypel & Noble, with no dissent. Town Mgr Hertwig reported a decided acceleration of the development work in the BelLido subdivision and stated that because of the noise and traffic problems he had considered it necessary to call in the Sherriff~s department. He submitted a report dated March 1, 1959 explaining his actions. Comm. Noble moved that the report be accepted and placed in the Town files and that these minutes state that the act- ion of the Town Ir2anager as described in the report, meet with the approv- al of the Town Commission. The motion was seconded by Comm. Bertash and approved by the affirmative votes of C©mmtrs Bertash, L~'pel and Noble. There was no dissent. There was discussion about the pending correspondence with the State Road Dept, concerning establishment of a lower speed limit through the Town and the Town Mgr was directed to keep active in the matter until some result is secured. The Town Mgr reported that there was trouble with the operation of the refuse incinerator at Highland Towers and that as a result he had delay- ed issuance of an occupancy certificate, but that the trouble was caused by improper operation which had been corrected and that the occupancy certificate had been duly issued. The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm, Bertash, seconded by Comm. Noble and the affirmative votes of Commtrs Bertash, B`ypel and Noble, without dissent. (end of minutes) Approved, ~~ ~~~
