The meeting was called to order at 7:45 ps<, by Mayor ~ype1. Aleo pre- sent were Cc~anm*re Breckinridge and Roble and Town Mgr. Hertwig. Commie Bertash and ~inaton were absent, being out of town. Minutes of the meetiage of April 7, 1959 and lay 5, 1959 were read and approved on motion of Comm. Breckinridge seconded by Cott. Noble sad the affirmative votes c:f Comm~ra Breckinridge, Eype1 and Roble. There was no dissent. Application was read from D. 3. doss for as addition to be eraeted at Rautilus Apartments. Because of uaueual structural details the members of the 8cmm~iesioa t~:ad decided to request a certificate of security from a registered engineer In lieu of such; Mr, Roas presented a letter dated June 3, 1959 from aohn B. Stetson, ArchiteQt. By general agree- ment the commiasioaera decided to accept Mr Stetaoa~s letter.- Comma. Noble moved that the letter ba placed on file sad that the permit be authorized. The motion was seconded by-Com~ri Breckiaridge and approved by the affirmative votes of Commtre Breckinridge, Eypel and Nobl®., There was no dissent. Referring to the recent difficulties-in operation of the Wet®r Works, Town Mgr. Hertwig requested authori$ation to re-establish the road lead- ing to the north p~a~p house so than it would be sore feasible to carry out proper iaapectioa and maintenance of the north pump. Comm, Breck- inr dge moved that the; Town Manager be authorized to have the road work done at a cost not to e~cceed Three Hundred Dollars. The motion was sec- onded by Comm. Noble sad approved by the affirmative votes of CcmYm~rs Breckinridge, impel and Noble. There wsa no dissent. The Town Manager referred to the pending question of whether it would be proper to permit the plaQiag of the asphaltic surfaee on the roads in Bel Lido and read a brief report explaining the statue of that matter. Comtt~. Noble mo®ed that the report be iaclu~ied in the minvtee and that the Town Manager-be instructed to follow the eolarse outlined is the report. Comm. Breckinridge seconded the motion,~which was ap- proved by the affirmative eotes of Comm~rs Breckinridge, Eypel sad Roble without dissent. The. report follows on pale 2 of toese minutes.
