This is a meeting recessed Fromm July ?, 1959. The meeting waa called
to Order by Comm. Noble at ?:30 p.m. on September 1, 1959..
Town Manager Hertwji.6 was present but no other members of the Commmis-
sioa were present and no property owners or taxpayers were on hand to
examine or protest the Taa Roll and for lack of a quorum Comm. Noble
declared the meeting recessed to ?:30 p.mm. on September 8, 1959..
On September 8, 1959,
The recessed meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.Aby Comm. Noble.
Town Manager Hartwig was also present but no other commissioners. were
present as it was generally agreed to put ofP the mmeeting until Vice-
Mayor Breckinridae would return to town. Lacking a quorum Comm,
Noble declared the mmeeting recessed to ?:30 p.mm. on September 15, 1959.
The recessed meeting of September 8, 1959 was called to order by Mayor
Eypel at ?:30 p.m. on September 15, 1959. Also present were Commr~s
Bertash, Breckinridge and Noble and Town Mgr. Hartwig. Comm. Winston
was absent.
Minutes of the Equalization Board meeting of July 7, 1959 were read.
and approved on motion oP Gomm. Breckinridge, seconded by Coma. Noble
and the affirmative votes of Commtrs Bertash, Breckinridge, Fypel and
Noble. Thera was no dissent.
Town Manager Hartwig, as Taa Assessor, reported that as directed by the
Commission, he had mmaintained regular office hours at the Town Hall on
July 8, 9 and 10, 1959, so that atzy interested parties could examine
the 1959 Taa Roll, or protest the same, but that no persons had appear-
ed to do so on those daps or on any other days He therefore presented
for consideration, Resolution #84, approv3.n6 the Taa Roll for 1959.
Resolution #84 was read and discussed and Comm. Breckinridge mmoved that
it be approved.. Comm. Noble seconded the motion and it was adopted by
the affirmative votes of Commmfrs Bertash, Breckenridge, Bypel & Noble,
without dissent,

Approvirqg the 1959 Tax Roll.
Whereas the Town Commission, as a Board of Equalizers, held meetings
at the Town Hall on July 7, 1959 and on September 15, 1959, and at
said meetings it heard any and all complaints or objections by tax-
payers, in reference to the Assessed Valuations placed on the Tax
Assessment Roll for 1959 by the Town Tax Assessor, and it was found
teat the Tax Assessment Roll as prepared by the `Pax Assessor is fair,
reasonable and Just;
And whereas the total figures of the Tax Assessment Holl are as follows:
Total value of all Taxable Real Property ..... ...'$5,521,567.
Total Value of all Taxable Personal Property.... P9.170.
Total value of all Taxable Property ....... $5,610,737.
Value of Exemptions........ 115.500.
Gross total assessed valueof all property ... ..45,726,237.
Now therefore be it resolved by the Town Commission of the mown of
Highland Beach that said real and tangible personal property Tax Roll
for 1959 be, and the same hereby is, equalized and adjusted as re-
quired by law, and the same is accepted as being fair, just and equal
as to valuations.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the above resolution was
adopted this 15th day of September, A.D. 19$59.

Passage of the foregoing Resolution 7171-84, having completed the business
of the Equalization Board on Tax Assessments, the meeting was adjourned
on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Brackenridge and the affirm-
ative votes of Commis Dertash, Breckenridge, Eypel and Noble. There
was no dissent.
