1958.02.04_TC_MinutesMinutes. Highland Beach Town Camrmissiom. February 4, 1958 Recessed to February 18, 1958. ~' The meet was called to order at 7x30 ing p.m. oa February 4, 1958 by Mayor Eypel. No other members ©f the Commission were present as it been agrees to postpone the meeting for two weeks, amd so for lack of a quorum Mayor Eypel declared the meeting recessed to 7;30 p•m• on February 18, 19b8. The reaesaed meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on February 18, 1958 by Mayor Eypel. Also present were Comm~rs Breckinridge, Eypel, Noble do •inston. Comm. Bertaah was absent. Th.e first two pages of-the minutes of l/14/58 were read and approved on motion of Comet. Breckinridge, seconded by Comm. Roble sad the af- firmative votes of Cvmm~aes Breckinridge, Sy-pel, Noble de Wiastoa. There was discussion about the development oP the S/D called Highland Beach Isles, the owners having presented a revised plat sad improve- meat plans, which have been approved by the Town Engineer, and an a- greement to complete the i~tprovements, which has been approved by the Town Attorney. In lieu of a performance bold the owners presented a check for X12,000.00 with the pledge of an additional X5,000.00 to be put up within 60 days after approval and recording of the plat said sums to beheld by the Town as a guarantee for completion of the improvements. After thorough discussion it was generally believed that these arraagemsats were satisfactory and Coma. Breckinridge moved that the Mayor be authorized to approve the Plat of Highland Beach Isles. The motion was aeaoaded by Corm. Noble sad approved by the affirmative votes of Comm. Breckinridge, Eypel, Noble and Winston, with no dissent. The Town Manager presented sad read proposed Ordinance X116 the title of which is as follows: TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH. ORDINANCE NO. 116. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE #106 BY RESCINDING TAE PARTS OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH PROHIBITED ANY ALTERATION OR AMENDMENT OF SAID ORDINANCE EXCEPT..DIIRING -THE MONTHS OF DECEMBER, JANtTARY, FSBRIIARY OR MARCH. THB merit of the ordiaaace-had been decided at an earlier meeting and after it was real Comm. Noble moved that it be passed oa its first reading. The motion was seconded by Comm. The Towa Manager presented sad real Resolution #79 authorizing the issuance of a building permit for Highland Towers Cooperative Apart- ments as decided at an earlier meeting. Comm. Breckinridge moved that the resolution be appr©ved. Comm. Winston seconded the motion sad it was approved by the affirmative votes of Comm~rs Breekiaridge, S`ypel, Noble and Winston, with no dissent.
