2006.08.24_CAB_Minutes_Regular• CULTURAL BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES August 24. 2006 9'30 a m Chair Emily Firtell called the Regular Meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. In attendance were Chair Firtell, Vice Chair Jack Glazer and members Riia Futernick, Bettie Altman and Gerry Pagliaro. Lois Feldman and George Kelvin were absent. Also present were members of the general public. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes pending. PRESENTATIONS Lynn Stender, Art Instructor in watercolor. Demo pro-bono, 4 week sessions at $25.00 per lesson. Classes on January 4, 11, 18,28; 8 students minimum. Demo Thursday, December 7 10:30-11:30 in the Cultural Art Center room. Lola Lichman, Art Instructor in oil, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, sculpture. Minimum 4 students, max 8 - 3 hour sessions. Demo Thursday, December 7 9:30- 10:30. • Sign up for both classes 11:30 -12:30. GENERAL BOARD INFORMATION . CAC room ready by October . Licensing agreement runs Sept -Sept . Calendar will be in the October Highlander NEW/OLD/OTHER BUSINESS . CAC supplies list -add 2-3 folding tables . CAC grand opening - 2nd - 3rd week in January '07 . George Kelvin -Art show in library community room the month of January . 2 poster boards will be displayed in Town hall advertising he Arnold Moskowitz and Isabel Make lectures. . LUTH -Dec. 10 -trolley ordered; Bettie will order refreshments; Town supplying tree, menorah, cresh; Jack to work on music -will see if Lyric orch. will play for free; CD -Emily; Banner -change date; look into a second banner. . Estimated mailing costs for fundraisers discussed. . Jack Glazer to oversee budget. . Next meeting, Sept. 28, 2006 .
