Chair Emily Firtell called the Regular Meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. Also in attendance were Vice Chair Jack Glazer, Bettie Altman, Lois Feldman, Riia Futernick and George Kelvin. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE WELCOME OLD BUSINESS ~' FINALIZATION OF PLANS FOR LUTH -DECEMBER 10 .Lois Feldman ordered cider from Publix. Will purchase paper goods next week. . Dignitaries -Mayor-will invite . George Kelvin will video event . December 16 -Riia will have a volunteers meeting . Trolley will pick up at St. Lucys Church • ART DEMONSTRATIONS -DECEMBER 7 . George Kelvin will video event . Town maintenance can help with setup/setdown FUND RAISER MAILING LETTER . Will be sent out in January GEORGE KELVIN ART SHOW . Will be in library community room PUBLIC COMMENTS ADJOURNMENT With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MRS. FELDMAN/MRS. '~ CULTURAL BOARD • TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH REGULAR MEETING MINUTES November 16 2006 930 a m Chair Emily Firtell called the Regular Meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. In attendance were Chair Firtell, Vice Chair Jack Glazer, Members Bettie Altman, George Kelvin, and Lois Feldman. Riia Futernick was absent. Also present were members of the general public. GENERAL INFORMATION Add to Agenda, having a meeting before LUTH for last minute details. Thank you's to Moskovitz, Make, Futernick LUTH information sent to Sun Sentinel and Post. Will be in the December 3 editions. Banner and Posters for LUTH will be ready Monday, November 27. Letters to Town employees, Town Manager and Town Commission inviting them to LUTH, and asking for their assistance if they would like to help out. NEW/OLD BUSINESS . George Kelvin asked Town to purchase a DVD player in order to broadcast out the • events he tapes (on DVD). . Dolores Trenner art work -CAC room not practical for the showing. Need a larger and more watched space, i.e., the library. . Jim Campbell (not a Highland Beach resident) has over 100 pieces of art he would like to exhibit. . Bettie Altman requested $100-$200 from the Board for purchase of the food items for LUTH. MOTION was made by MR. GLAZER/MRS. FELDMAN to allot up to $350 toward refreshments and supplies (cups, napkins, wrapping paper, etc.) MOTION carried. . CAC opening -January 12, 4:00 p.m. -Library Community Room. BOARD REPORTS . Lois Feldman - Ms. Dolce receptive to giving a concert. A baritone and pianist will also be available - $700 for concert. Date set, Tuesday, February 13, 7:30 p.m. in community room ;"Opera to Broadway and More". All agreed on details of concert. . Steinway concert off - no budget for this. With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MR. GLAZER/MRS. FELDMAN at 11:00 a.m. •
