• MINUTES: WORKSHOP MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - July 31, .1973 - 8:30 P.M.
The workshop meeting of the Town Commission was called to order at 8:30 P.M.
by the Mayor. Present were Mayor Horton, Vice Mayor Dent, Commissioners Gilday
and Joy; the Town Administrator, the Building Officer, interested residents
and members of the press.
The Mayor read a letter received from Robert Leary and Associates, and gave
details of that firm's proposed charges and scope of their proposed study of
the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinances. Discussion followed and
further negotiations will be held in this matter. Tentatively, August 29-.~'''
with due notice, will be earmarked for Public Hearings as suggested by
Mr. Leary in the aforementioned letter.
Mayor Horton informed the Town Commission of a proposal submitted by Mr.
Jurisch for burglar-proofing the new Town Hall facilities. The matter will
be further discussed at the regular meeting scheduled for August 7.
A letter received from Mr. Stro~lck regarding the scope and cost for the survey
of the Easterly survey line (dunelines) was read by the Mayor.
Mayor Horton advised that the following ordinances will be presented at the
regular meeting: (a) Animal Control, (b) Sign Ordinance, (c) Moratorium
Appeals Board, and (d) Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 198.
• The preliminary budget for F/Y 1974 was discussed and this matter will be
discussed further.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 P.M,
