Mayor Horton and Commissioner Gilday represented the Town Commission, and
with Mr. Robert Leary, the Land Planner, the meeting was opened for questions
and answers coicident to a Land Planning Study.
As stated above, the Mayor cited the purpose of the meeting and invited
participation from the audience to make known their ideas, recommendations,
and/or state their objections, to assist the Land Planner for the ultimate
development of Highland Beach.
The meeting continued for approximately two hours, during which period
a variety of questions were directed to Mr. Leary and/or the members of the
Commission present. Actively engaging in the discussion were various Bel Lido
residents, condominium owners, developers and/or other land owners, resident
and non-resident,
Mayor Horton pointed out that the Land Planning Study is to be expedited
and Mr. Leary advised that he expects to submit his findings in three to four
weeks.
The meeting adjourned at 4:15 P.M.
