1973.09.05_TC_Minutes_Special• MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - September 5, 1973 - 1:40 P.M. The meeting was called by Mayor Horton, Vice Mayor Dent and Commissioner Gilday to hear Mr. August Urbanek's presentation of proposed re-arrangement of dwelling units and possible action thereon. All members of the Commission were present except Commissioner Mumford. Mr. Urbanek showed the architect's plans which showed that in lieu of a ten story building with 80 units to be constructed on Lots 76 and 77, ocean-side, a three story, 16-unit building be built and it was requested that 4 units be retained for managerial apartments; 40 units to be added to one building at the Embassy Towers site (Lots 116 and 117--making each building have 100 units instead of a total 160) and to add 20 units to the Ambassador Tower building (Lot 109) increasing the number of units from 80 to 100. No change was made in the total number of units. A lengthy discussion ensued with audience participation. Vice Mayor Dent offered the motion, seconded by Commissioner Gilday that the basic proposal with certain warranties be approved. The Attorney will draw a written agreement subject to approval. This motion was approved by Mayor Horton, Vice Mayor Dent, Commissioners Gilday and Joy. The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 P.M. APPROVED: ATTEST • ~~~lt~L~iCJ Town DATED: ~..~"~ ~~-O~ °~ ~~~ ;~. •
