MINUTES: Special Meeting of the Town Commission, November 21, 19.73
This meeting was called by Mayor Horton and Commissioners Gilday and
Mumford for the purposes of considering expenditures for the Town Hall
by the Town Administrator. The meeting, attended by all members of
the Commission, was called to order at 2:50 P.M. by Mayor Horton.
Mrs. Roberts advised of bids received for the landscaping of Town
Hall and the Police Station, discussion followed.
Vice Mayor Dent offered the motion to approve the landscape bid of Mr.
Lloyd Mangos for a total of $5200. The Commission requested the Town
Administrator to try and have the sprinkling system installed prior to
and/or in conjunction with the landscape work. She is getting bids
from companies for the required sprinkler installations and will inform
the Commission of such data in the near future.
Mrs. Roberts advised that the conference chairs proposed for purchase
could be secured at various prices for styles which were shown to the
Commissioners. It was the Commission's decision to have Mrs. Roberts
order eight chairs at a cost of $79.75 each. Commissioner Gilday
offered the motion, seconded by Commissioner Joy and approved by all
members of the Commission.
• A third item, the purchase of an outside Bulletin Enclosure was discussed
at length. The final selection was a bronze bulletin at an approximate
cost of $350.00. Commissioner Gilday offered the motion, Commissioner
Joy seconded and all members of the Commission agreed to this purchase.
