• A workshop meeting was held on Thursday, March 18, 1971 in the fire station
adjoining Town Hall and was called. to order by Mayor Horton at 7:30 P. M.
All Commissioners were present except Comm. Beekman, who was out of Town.
Mayor Horton announced that this meeting was called so that the Commission
may hear from townspeople Pegarding the zoning of the Town in general and
secondly the questions and comments pertaining to the proposed change to
the zoning Ordinances.
The Mayor plans to withdraw the proposed Ordinance on the matter of zoning on
lots 122, 123, 124 because the information gathered by Mrs. Roberts from
the County zoning department and. the information given to the Mayor when
he went to the 6outh County complex differs from what the impression has been
regarding zoning on this property. Discussion followed.
Open discussion was held regarding Town zoning in general and the pro-
posed. zoning Ordinance. Many questions, comments and suggestions were
presented by Town residents, property owners and developers in attendance.
The meeting was adjourned. at 10:00 P. M.
