MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - May 8, 1974
At 12:07 P.M., Mayor Horton called the Special Meeting to order.
Present were: Mayor Horton, Vice Mayor Dent, and
Commissioners Gilday, Joy, and Mumford.
Mayor Horton acknowledged the Clerk of the General Elections held
in Highland Beach on May 7, 1974. Mr. Potere delivered the Certifica-
tion of Election results, these certified copies are attached.
Mayor Horton read the recapitulation of the votes, the certification;- and
the names of the inspectors.
Vice Mayor Dent offered the motion that the results be accepted and
approved and his motion was seconded by Commissioner Mumford.
. Mayor Horton, Vice Mayor Dent and Commissioners, Gilday, Joy and Mumford
all voted aye, unanimously approving the results of the aforesaid election.
(A memorandum dated May 8, announcing the meeting to canvass the results
is attached).
Mayor Horton informed the Commission that at 7:14 P.M., Tuesday, May 7,
the regular meeting of the Town Commission was recessed until 7:30, Wednes-
day, May 8, due to the lack of a quorum (Election Day) and that this
meeting which he has called a special meeting which is required by the
Code is hereby also being recessed to 7:30 tonight (May 8) so that there
will be no question relative thereto.
There was no other business and the meeting was ecessed, s so stated.
