At 9:30 A.M., Mayor Gilday called the Special Meeting to order.
The purposes and persons calling the meeting are advised in attachment

Present were: Mayor Gilday, Vice Mayor Joy and
Commissioners Clark and Bauer
Absent: Commissioner Mumford

Mayor Gilday advised that item one, to consider a Resolution was being
held in abeyance and he informed the Commissioners of the status of this
matter--it appears that a meeting of the Cities of Delray and Boynton
will be taking place.
The members of the Commission listened to a tape recording made by Mr.
Francis Johnson who recommended the Town consider the purchase of another
Cassette Deck, additional speakers and the use of Shure lavalier mikes.
The proposed purchase and use of different mikes was discussed at length.
On a motion offered by Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Bauer
with the unanimous approval of the members present, a purchase of an
additional cassette deck, speakers, and one lavalier mike (if the latter
cannot be borrowed on a trial basis) were approved for the approximate
cost of $600.00 to $700.00.
Bills were presented by the Acting Town Manager, with explanations, and
were approved.
Ms. Roberts then read Mr. Klinck's letter of June 17, 1974, see attach-
ment "B", which gave a detailed explanation of the "Periodic Estimate
for Partial Payment" form submitted for Lauderdale Contracting Corp.
Matter was discussed at length. Mayor Gilday advised that a meeting
will be arranged with Russell & Axon and representatives of Lauderdale
Contracting Corp. The bill for the pipe has been returned to Russell
& Axon unpaid.
