Meeting called to order by Commissioner Ruth E. Mumford at 7:30 P.M.
Commissioner Mumford announced that the Mayor was not feeling very
well this evening and the Vice Mayor was on vacation.

The Town Clerk gave a brief synopsis of the Minutes for the
month of August. There were no corrections and/or additions
and were accepted as read.
REPORTS OF VARIOUS AGENCIES OF THE TOWN:
(a) Board of Adjustment - No Report
There were no names offered, at this time, to fill
the unexpired term 11/14/75.
(b) Community Appearance Board - No Report
Mrs. Mumford read a letter recommending Mr. James
Schubert to fill the unexpired term of Alternate -
6/4/76.
MOTION by Commissioner Bauer/Commissioner Clark: "Nominate
Mr. James Schubert."

(c) Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals - No Report
(d) Planning Commission - No Report
Mrs. Mumford read a letter of resignation from Mr.
Joseph Schober, Alternate Member, Planning Commission.
She then read a letter from Joseph Boscove recommending
Col. Francis M. Johnson to fill the unexpired term of
Mr. Joseph Schober - 7/2/76.
Mrs. Mumford called for a Motion to accept the letter of resignation
from Mr. Joseph Schober.
MOTION by Commissioner Clark/Commissioner Bauer: "So move."
ROLL CALL on the Motion Carried 3 - 0.
MOTION by Commissioner Bauer/Commissioner Clark: "I'll nominate
Col. Francis Johnson for the position of Alternate."

(e) Police Commissioner - Senator Hults gave a complete
report of the activities of the Police Department
for the month of August.
REPORTS AND/OR RECOMMENDATIONS OF TOWN MANAGER, MRS. ELAINE W.
ROBERTS .
Mrs. Roberts reported on the following: Volunteer Fire
Department, discussion followed relative to this matter;
Palm Beach County Municipal League meeting will be held
on Friday, September 12, 1975 at 1:45 P.M. at the Highland
Beach Town Hall, Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation
will hold hearings (public form) in the months of November,
December and January. Mrs. Roberts stated that the Personnel
Rules and Regulations will be held over until all the
Commission is present. Building Department report. Finance
Department: request from Dun# and Bradstreet, a brief
discussion followed and it was suggested that the Town
confer with the bond consultant, letter from Town Attorney
• relative to the audit report of last year. Mrs. Roberts
called upon Mr. Drasal to present a financial statement.
Mr. Drasal reported that the Town finances are in good shape.
Health Department request to lease T.I.I.F. parcel just
east of the F.I.N.D. parcel that the Town leases, rats
on the bike path. Public Utilities and Public Works:
letter from Bel Lido Property Owners' Association, Water
expansion and Sewer System Construction.
Mrs. Roberts asked the Commission for a decision on Pittsburgh-
DesMoines. They have asked for a Moratorium on their contract
completion date in order for them not to be penalized. It
was the consensus of the Commission to wait until the Mayor
and Vice Mayor were present.
She informed the Commission that there was infiltration
in the sewer lines of the Town. The Town Commission directed
her to authorize Russell & Axon to track down the source -
but not to exceed an expenditure of $200.00. She also
requested a 55 gallon drum to store diesel fuel for the
emergency generator at the Sewage Interim Treatment Plant.

Mrs. Roberts informed the Commission that the proposal
from Carr Soil and Sod to install the deceleration lane
is in the amount of $1,350.00.
MOTION by Commissioner Clark/Commissioner Bauer: "I move that
we proceed with the deceleration lane based on Carr's proposal."
ROLL CALL on the Motion Carried 3 - 0.
.Mrs. Roberts reported that she will have a meeting re:
AIA storm water drainage with Mr. Paul White of the
Department of Transportation. That meeting will also
include Mr. Glenn Burns, Earl Totz, and Roy Schimpf on
• Friday morning at 10:00 in the Town Hall.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS - Mr. Drasal announced that there were no
bills.
