1978.06.26_TC_Minutes_Regular• TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA PUBLIC HEARING June 26, 1978 5.00 P.M. The Public Hearing called by the Town Manager, convened at 5:00 PM. The Town Manager read the notice of Public Hearing, copy attached. In attendance were Elaine W. Roberts, Town Manager, Patrolman Donald Kasten and Jamie Prilliman, reporter for the Delray News Journal. The purpose of this Public Hearing was the proposed use of the Town's Federal Revenue Sharing Entitlement Funds for the 1978-79 Fiscal Year, which approximates $8,640. At 5:15 P.M. Mrs. Roberts declared the Public Hearing to be closed inasmuch as she had received no comments, either orally or in writing. She did go on to explain that last year's proposed figure in the • general operating budget for Fiscal Year 1977-78 totaled $12,096.00 for Federal Revenue Sharing. The figure of $9,268.00 was for anti- recession fiscal aid money wh ich can only be used for on-going projects of two years in duration or longer. There are no longer any restrictions on the Federal Revenue Sharing. Last year's figure of over $12,000.00 compared with this year's figure of $8,640.00 shows a substantial drop in estimate. Mrs. Roberts daid if she receives no comments within the next few days, she will probably propose to the Town Commission that some of this money be spent to pave the west-south parking lot behind Town Hall.. Also some could be used for cleaning the beach and maybe installing some trash containers near the benches on the bike-hike path. Meeting ADJOURNED at 5:18 P.M. APPROVED: ~ Town Manager
