POLICY DECISION - Pay for Police Officers called to appear in Court
on day off.
Mrs. Roberts noted that if the County pays $5.00 for the Officers'
appearance and the Town matches it (with $15.00), the County
will not pay their share. The Town either pays the $20.00 or
just allows the Officers to receive the $5.00.
After discussion among the Mayor, Town Attorney and Town
Manager, it was decided that this policy decision be tabled.
Chief Jones did bring out the fact that the Officers were
paid mileage for their appearance, by the County.
