Mrs. Roberts stated none of the Department Heads receive overtime and she feels the Police Chief should be receiving overtime when he acts as Patrolman in addition to being-the Chief. Mrs. Roberts stated the Federal Law, the Safe Water Drinking Act, is to become effective July 1st this year. This will require a great deal of revision on the operation of the Town's water plant. She noted that in her office there is pertinent information relative to this subject. She noted that there will be workshops to gather public reaction pertaining to the South Florida Water Management Plan. She has included this in a memo to the Town Commission. After the reading of the proposal the Town Attorney stated that he thought this would not be a bad idea if the Town wished to spend the money. The Town Attorney was directed to check with other communities in the area to evaluate this proposal. • Discussion followed relative to the division of the County and a proposal for a new County that would include several municipalities in South Palm Beach County, including Highland Beach.
