Minutes of Meeting of Town Commission
Special Meeting
Se tember 29, 1981 5:00 P. M.
Mayor Horton called the Special Meeting to order at 5:00 P. M. Those
in attendance were: Mayor Louis Y. Horton, Vice Mayor Harold C.
Storm and Commissioner John J. Basso. Commissioners Mary Louise G.
Blosser and Edward J. Sullivan were absent. Also in attendance were:
Elaine W. Roberts, Town Manager, Thomas E. Sliney, Town Attorney,
Police Chief Kenneth Jones and Jane E. Barker, Town Clerk. Mayor
Horton stated that the three Commissioners constituted a quorum.
There were several Townspeople in the audience.
Mayor Horton announced that the purpose of the Special Meeting was to
adopt Ordinance No. 426, amending Ordinance No. 393.
Proposed Ordinance No. 426 - Amending Ordinance No. 393 which
appropriated funds for the Fiscal
• Year 1980-81 which began October 1, 1980 and will end
September 30, 1981.
Proposed Ordinance No. 426 was read in full by the Town Clerk.
MOTION by Vice Mayor Storm/Commissioner Basso that Ordinance No. 426 be
adopted as read. In polling the Commission, the vote was as follows:
Mayor Horton - Aye; Vice Mayor Storm - Aye; and Commissioner Basso - Aye.
The MOTION passed unanimously.
Mayor Horton then called for a MOTION to approve the.
expenditure of $3,800 for the completion of the Greening
Committee's recommendation.
MOTION by Commissioner Basso/Vice Mayor Storm that $3,800 be approved
to complete-the Greening Committee's recommendation. All Commissioners
voted Aye, and without objection the MOTION passed.
