1983.11.22_TC_Minutes_Special.;_ I i TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA • Minutes of Meeting of Town Commission SPECIAL MEETING Tuesday, November 22, 1983 1:30 P.M, A Special Meeting of the Town Commission was called to order by Mayor Louis Y. Horton at 1:30 p.m. in the Town Commission Chambers. Also present were Vice Mayor Mary Louise G. Blosser, Commissioners William E. Paul, Betty Jean Stewart and Harry Walker. Also present were Town Attorney, Thomas E. Sliney; Town Manager, Elaine W. Roberts; Town Clerk Mary Ann Tn~haley; citizens and the general public. Stevenson Building Design's request for the purchase of property located on U.S. 1 in the City of Boca Raton was discussed, with specific emphasis on the landscaping requirements for the Town's remaining land. The Town Clerk read a Resolution authorizing the sale of the land. MOTION was made by COMMISSIONER PAUL/MAYOR HOR'ID N that the Resolution be adopted. • Commissioner Walker left the meeting at 2:00 p.m. due to another appointment. Substantial discussion ensued after which a vote was taken on the MOTION as follows: Mayor Horton - aye Vice Mayor Blosser - no Commissioner Paul - aye Commissioner Stewart - no Commissioner Walker - absent The MOTION failed, however, it was the consensus that this matter would be taken up again at a meeting of November 29, 1983. The status of the Coronado project was then taken up with reference to a final C/O request. Mr. Leonard Mass and Mr. Roger Zona, representing Trafalgar Developers were present, and submitted a surety bond for the completion of the required work on the project. • ~w Town Commission Special Meeting November 22, 1983 Page 2 of 2 The Town Commission did not accept the surety bond and requested Mr. Mass and Mr. Zona to appear at the November 29, 1983 Special Meeting with a specific plan of implementation to comply with the Town`s requirements prior to the issuance of a Final C/O. The status of the Highland Beach/Delray Beach sewer issue was dis- cussed with the Town Manager being directed to authorize the Town's Ad Hoc Committee to gather bids from engineering firms to study and make recommendations on the matter.
