4. Public Requests
Mr. Walter Wanick of Stevenson Builders and owner of the property
directly North of the Highland Beach Water Treatment Plant intro-
duced himself. He wants to develop his property into offices with
a showroom. Since the Boca Raton Fire Department needs access to
his back parking lot, he requested permission to repair the dirt
road, landscape and maintain part of the Water Plant property.
After some discussion, Mr. Wanick said he would submit the proposal
in writing and Mayor Horton advised that the Commission would review
and discuss the material at their first opportunity.
•
Mr. Michael Dent, resident, inquired about the Delray Beach/Highland
Beach lawsuit concerning sewer charges. Mayor Horton advised that
if Delray gets all they want, our charges would be approximately
$16.00 per month. Because of the surcharge residents are now
paying, our costs could be pretty well covered.
