1984.04.03_TC_Minutes_SpecialTOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA Minutes of Meeting of Town Commission MORATORIUM VARIANCE APPEALS BOARD Tuesday, April 3, 1984 2:00 P.M. A Meeting of the Moratorium Variance Appeals Board was called to order at 2:10 p.m. in the Town Commission Chambers at Town Hall, by Mayor Louis Y. Horton. Also present were Vice Mayor Mary Louise G. Blosser, Commissioners William E. Paul, Betty Jean Stewart and Harry Walker. Also present were Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney; Town Manager Elaine W. Roberts; Building Official Bruce Sutherland; Town Clerk Mary Ann Whaley; citizens and the general public. It was noted that the meeting was called for the purpose of discussion of the Beach Walk West application for variance from the Moratorium Ordin~ ce. Attorney George P. Ord of the firm of Alley, Maass, Rogers, Lindsay & Chauncey was present representing Beach Walk West, as well as Mr. Pat Mullin of Gee and Jenson, engineers for the Beach Walk West project. Substantial discussion ensued wherein no evidence was produced indicating prohibition from commencing construction on the mite by any agency, including the Town.. MOTION was made by COMMISS IONER PAUI~/`VICE MAYOR BLOSSER that the variance request application dated February 28, 1984 for relief from the Moratorium Ordinance and the issuance of a new building permit on the Beach Walk West property be denied. All voted aye. It was noted that a request for the extension of the permit which had been issued on the project was still pending before the Town Commission. There being no further business to come before the Moratorium Variance Appeals Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30 p.m. APPROVED. ~~~ • .Louis Y Horton, Mayor Mary ouise G.
