FOR VARIANCE, PLUM REALTY.
Chairman Blosser called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m., advising this
•was a public hearing, with due public notice, called to consider the peti-
tion of Plum Realty, Inc., for a variance from the terms of the Code of
Ordinances of the Town of Highland Beach, Florida, specifically, setbacks
for the property located at Lot 1, Block 2, Bel Lido subdivision, Town
of Highland Beach. The agenda is Attachment "A".
Present: William Wernecke, R. F. Blosser, L. E. Brotzman,
R. C. Frederick.
Absent: Col. F. C. Scofield, E. E. Aldrich, J. Carberry.
In audience, Mr. Wally E. Schott, Building and Administrative Official,
Town of Highland Beach and Mr. William Plum. Sketches presented by the
petitioner were examined by the members of the Board. The general dis-
cussion following included comments by Mr. Schott concerning the protection'
of the entrance area to Bel Lido; a letter of endorsement for the applicant's
request, from Mr. J. A. Boscove (Attachment "B"), and the proposed setbacks
of 20 feet of the north side and 20 feet on the south side of the property.
The Board requested that the petitioner submit a letter to the Board stating
the landscaping on the south side of Lot 1, Block 2, will not be disturbed.

•Receipts for certified letters of notification to residents, mailed by
the petitioner to concerned residents, were presented to the Board of
Adjustment.

Bel Lido residents, Mrs. G. Crane, Mrs. H. Field and Mrs. H. Schramm,
voiced objection to the approval of the petition.
At the conclusion of the discussion, Mr. Brotzman moved that the petition
for variance as presented be approved, Mr. Frederick seconded. Mr. Brotzman
voted aye, Mr. Frederick, aye, Mr. Wernecke, aye, Chairman Blosser, aye.
The motion for approval was carried.
Chairman Blosser declared the public hearing adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
