1973.11.19_BAA_Minutes_Regular• MYN=S• Meeting of the Board of Adjustment - November 19,_1973 Chairman Herbert C. Watson called the meeting to order at 2:30 P.M. the following members of the board were present: Chairman Watson, W. J. Wernecke, R. T. Kemper, Col. F. C.,Scofield and G. K. Whyte. The Chairman advised that the meeting, a public hearing with due notice, (published November 2 and 13) was called to hear a petition from Wiedersum and Associates for special exceptions to the zoning requirements. He further advised that since this meeting is the first meeting of the Board of Adjustment, there is no unfinished business or minutes to be approved. ers The meeting was turned over to the petition/, Wiedersum and Associates, who are requesting a height of 118 feet for a building to occupy approximately less than 50% of the land, have 47 apartments (four to a floor) with 40underground parking spaces and 37 others in front of the proposed building. The price range of these apartments to be $100,000.00 and upwards. Their Architect, Mr. John Baccari, assisted in the presentation of their petition for a Special Exception. Discussion followed. It was pointed out that if the special exception . were granted it would establish a precedent and the building of a 13-story building. The Chairman announced that the Board, was not required to come to a decision, it was deemed desirable to discuss this and advise later, probably in a week or so. - Tentatively, the Board also suggested a meeting for Parker Properties setting the date of Thursday, December 6 at 2:30 P.M. The meeting was formally adjourned at 3:10 P.M. NOTE:: OFF TARE AND AFTER THE ABOVE Col. Fran Johnson, a member of the Planning Board, and the Town Adminis- trator, Ms. Roberts, both members in attendance of the meeting, raised questions regarding required procedures set forth in the Town's Zoning' Ordinances and asked what steps were taken to advise interested residents for the required 30 days in advance of the hearing. Discussion followed. It was determined by the members of the Board of Adjustment that since no action was taken at this meeting, since procedures had not been • carried out, this meeting and its purpose was nullified. Since the foregoing, a workshop meeting is scheduled for the Board of Adjustment on November 29, at 4:00 P.M., and a public notice has been published to have the petition of Wiedersum and Associates heard on December 27 at 2:30 P.M.
