BEACHES ADVISORY BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Tuesdav, November 9, 2004 9.30 A M
Chair Lucy Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. In
attendance were Betty Jane Hofstadter, Ruth Samuels, Jean Ellis and
Evelyn Weiss. Martha Pando was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There were not minutes to be approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Jack Halpern was planning on being at today's meeting to report on
Boca Raton's renoiurishmenbt project which was put on hold, but now
is proceeding. Mr. Halpern was not at today's meeting.
Tulla Uuranniemi, Ocean Place Estates, spoke about the beach erosion
and recommendations as to what can be done about it.
Jeff Norman brought Bill Sadler who owns Sea Diversified, a local
marine engineering company, who spoke to the board about his
• company's involvement in fixing erosion problems. The board asked
him to prepare a survey to be presented to the Town Commission.
Upon MOTION by Mrs. Hofstadter/Mrs. Ellis, a recommendation will go
to the Town Commission asking for combined meeting to study the
impact of the beach problem, and hear any presentations by outside
companies.
Lucy Miller recommended that the sea turtle volunteers have a
meeting with Jose' to discuss ways to help him with the turtle
program.
ADJOURN
With no further business to come before the Board, Motion to adjourn
was made by MRS. HOFSTADTER/MRS. WEISS at 11:00 a.m.
