REGULAR MEETING
Tuesday, June 8, 2004 9.30 A M
Chair Lucy Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. In
attendance were Vice-Chair Matthew Berman, Evelyn Weiss, Martha
Pando, Betty Jane Hofstadter, Jean Ellis and Ruth Samuels.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MRS. PANDO/MRS. WEISS, the minutes of the May 11 and
the May 18 meetings were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Mark Tayton of the Department of Environmental Protection was
present to speak to the members regarding beach cleaning, cleaning
equipment, etc. There was discussion about beach renourishment in
other counties. Mr. Berman stated that he will monitor the
renourishment in Broward County.
The owner of Universal Beach cleaning also spoke to the members
about his company's beach cleaning process.
• Jack Halpern noted that the Boca renourishment project has been put
on hold for two years because the town lost the federal funding.
Due to a time constraint, the Board was unable to discuss the two
draft recommendations to the Town Commission. Therefore a workshop
meeting was scheduled for Monday, ~~ 14 to address .the memos.

With no further business to come before the Board, Motion to adjourn
was made by MRS. HOFSTADTER/MR BERMAN at 12:00 p.m.
