1949.08.31_TC_Minutes Minutes of Special Meeting of Town Commission of the Toga of Highland Beach, Florida. Held August 31, 1949 In accordance with election requirements of the Town Code a Spectal Meeting of the Town Commission was held at the Town Hall for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the Bond Election held on August 30, 1949 The election board presented itts certification of the elec- _ tion.results which are as follows: 21 freeholders were qualified to vote. 20 freeholders voted in the election. 20 votes were in favor of the Bond issue. No votes were cast against the bond issue. The following papers were attached to the election boardts certification of the election results: Certified list of freeholders qualified to vote. Signature list of who voted in the election. Election clerk's list of voters in the election. Upon examination the above papers were found to be in order and correct and the members of the Town Commission found them so. All members of the Commission were present, i.e. Mayor Totterdale, Vice -Mayor Heaton, Comm. Dubendorff, Smith and Hertwig. Comm. Smith thereupon offered and moved the adoption of Resolution No. 6: Be it resolved by the Town Commission of the Town of Highland Beach, Florida, that the certification of the Election officials as to the results of the Bond Election held in the Town of High- land Beach, Florida on August 30, 1949 be and they are hereby found to be true and correct. That the Town Commission has carefully canvassed said election returns and finds the results to be as follows: 21 freeholders were registered and qualified to vote. 20 freeholders voted in the election. 20 freeholders voted in favor of the bond issue. No votes were cast against the bond issue. That more than two - thirds of the registered qualified freehold voters of the Town voted in favor of the Water Bond Issue. The motion to adopt said Resolution No. 6 was seconded by Comm. Heaton. Upon the taking of the vote the following voted in favor: Comm. Heaton, Smith, Dubendorff, Totterdale and Hertwig. Comm. Smith moved and Comm. Heaton seconded a Motion that all election papers be made a -part of the minutes of this meeting. Upon the taking of the vote the following voted in favor: Comm. Heaton, Smith, Dubendorff, Totterdale and Hertwig and so the motion '.� was unanimously passed and the following papers comprise the next four pages of these minutes: Report of Election Board of results of Bond Election of Aug. 30, 1949; Signatu List of Voters in said election; Election Clerk's List of Voters in said election; Regis- tration Officerts List of Qualified Freeholders August 20, 1949 s 71 T Conclusion.
