The r:?eetinV was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on August 9, 1960 by
Nice Mayor Turner. Also present were Conm'rs Noble and Jones and
Town I:Ian. Hertwig. Mayor Eypel Corn. Bertash ivere absent.
Jones
This meeting was the resumption of the meeting of Ju 29 1960 which
was recessed to this date. The minutes of that rneeti g were read and
approved on notion of Conm. Noble, seconded by Coma. and the affirma-
tive votes of Comm 'rs Jones, Noble and Turner, without dissent.
Town ITanager Hertwig, as Tax Assessor, reported that as directed by
the Commission, he had maintained regular office hours at the Town Hall
on August 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 1960 so that any interested parties could
examine the 1960 Tax Roll, or protest the same, but that no persons
had appeared to do so on those days or on any other day. He therefore
presented for consideration, Resolution "96, approving the Tax Roll.
Resolution X96 was read and discussed after which Comm. Jones moved
that it be approved. Comm. Noble seconded the motion and it was adopt-
ed by the affirmative votes of Cormm'rs Jones, Noble and Turner. There
was no dissent.

Approving the 1960 Tax Roll.
Whereas the Town Commission, as a Board of Equalizers, held meet-
ings at the Town Hall on July 29, 1960 and on August 9, 1960, and at
said meetings it heard any and all complaints or objections by'tax
payers, in reference to the assessed valuations placed on the Tax
Assessment Roll for 1960 by the Town Tax Assessor, and it was found
that the Tax Assessment Roll as prepared by the Tax Assessor is
fair, reasonable and just;
And whereas the total figures of the Tax Assessment Roll for 1960
are as follows:
Total value of all Taxable Real property $5,790
Value of Exemptions 1 08, 000._
Gross total assessed value of all real property §5 898,68'7.
Now therefore be it resolved by the Town Commission of the Town of
Highland Beach, Florida, that said real property Tax Roll for 1960
be, and the same hereby is, equalized and adjusted as required by
law, and the same is accepted as being fair, just and equal as
to valuations.,
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the above resolution
was adopted this n.ihth day of August, 19
