1965.06.19_TC_Minutes SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES: HIGHLAND BEACH TOWN COMMISSION JUNE 19, 1965 A special meeting called by Vice Mayor Bunn to enforce the purchase agreement of March 18 for the Town Hall property. Town Manager Dailey and Commissioners Bunn, Johnson, Noble, and Jones were present. Mayor Hackman was absent. Town Manager Dailey reported that he had met several times with John J. Moffett, the real estate agent, and talked by phone with Mr. Nicholas V. Fasano, representing the syndicate owners, with no result, due apparently to disagreement between the mortgage holder and syndicate• as to who should get this purchase money. All Commissioners agreed that some action had to be taken to avoid any delay in closing this purchase, as all future planning was dependent on it, and if further negotiations failed, legal action should be taken to compel execution of the purchase agreement. The question of including the $30,000.00 purchase price of the Town Hall and water plant site in the application for a bond issue for water plant expansion was discussed. = With provision in the engineers cost estimate for a new site, and with this now included in the Town Hall property, it was felt that the cost of acquiring the Town Hall and water plant site should be considered as part of the entire water plant expansion program. A motion by Commissioner Bunn that part or all of the expense of acquiring the Town Hall and water plant site should be included in future contacts with the fiscal agent, or bonding company, was seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All Commissioners present voted in the affirmative. Meeting adjourned at 11 :15 AM. APPROVED: CLEM HACKMANI MAYOR FRED BUNN , VICE MAYOR HAROLD E. JOHNSON OWN CLERK MILDRED NOBLE, COMMISSIONER G.
