MINUTES: SPEGIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - February 10, 1970
A special meeting of the Town Commission was called on Feb. 10th at the
request of Mayor Horton and Commissioners Hackman and Vedder, in Town
Hall at 8 :00 P. M. All Commissioners were present except Comm. McCook.
Also present were Messers Anderson, Walton, Joy, Schober, Santangelo,

Mr. Charles Anderson, of Brockway, Owen & Anderson presented his opinions
and findings on the proposed expansion of the water distribution system.
The first item discussed was supplying a larger water main to service
Boca -Hi, whose responsibility it would be, and who would own the main,
after completion. The consensus was that although Boca -Hi would be paying

Town and would become part of the Town's water system.

and presented plans for the future ultimate system, including costs of the
additional equipment. Individually pointed out were plant production,
storage capacity, sizes of mains and an additional main needed under the
Intracoastal waterway and five future additional wells to increase the
well capacity. The estimated costs are: $ 200,000 for distribution, 225,000
for storage, 80,000 for the transfer main, 200,000 for plant expansion,
125,000 for supply, and 270,000 extra. for contingency, legal, administratigla,
engineering, &inspections, totaling: $ 1.1 million.
