1971.05.25_TC_Minutes_Special MINUTES: PUBLIC HEARING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - May 25, 1971
A Public Hearing was held, as described under the law, on Thursday, May 25,
1971 in the fire station adjoining the Town Hall and called to order by
Mayor Horton at 7:30 P. M.
In attendance were Mayor Horton, Commissioners Beekman, Hackman and Vice
Mayor Vedder. Also attending were Mr. Dan Abernathy of Bair, Abernathy &
Associates, Town Attorney T. P. Poulton and many Townspeople, property
owners and other interested parties.
The Mayor introduced Mr. Abernathy, who listened to comments, suggestions
and criticism. Discussion was entered into by the many people in attendance.
The public hearing adjourned at 8:45 P. M.
The second part of the meeting was called to order by Mayor Horton at 8 :50
P. M. After everyone had an opportunity to make their views known, Mr.
Abernathy answered many questions. Open discussion followed.
The meeting adjourned at 9 :45 P. M.
