MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMISSION - March 18, 1971 -
A special meeting was called at the request of Mayor Horton, and Commissioners
Jurisch and Vedder on March 18, 1971 at 7 :20 P. M. for the purpose of dis-
cussing a resolution which was requested by Boca Raton to proceed with the
installation of a 12T transmission line from the western well field to the
water plant. All Commissioners were present vComm. Beekman, who was out of
Town. *11-
Also in attendance were many townspeople.
Mayor Horton read the Resolution ## 171 which is page 2 of these
minutes.
Comm. Jurisch moved to adopt this resolution as read. Vice Mayor Vedder
seconded and it was unanimously voted.
Mayor Horton acknowledged the valuable assistance of our consultant, Mr.
William Lamb in arranging for the work to proceed while this resolution
was being prepared.
The meeting was adjourned at 7 :25 P. M.

A RESOLUT101 THE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH REGARDING
PERMISSION FROM THE CITY OF BOCA. RATON FOR ALSAY
DRILLING COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT A TWELVE INCH TRANS-
MISSION LINE ALONG APPLEBY STREET IN BOCA RATON.
WHEREAS, The Town Commission of the Town of Highland
Beach finds it necessary to ex its water plant faoilities
which are located la the City of Boca Raton; and,
WHEREAS, The Town has awarded to Alsay Drilling Com-
pany a contract to construct a 12" transmission line along,
A?))leby Street in 11oca Raton; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF
HIGHLAND BEACH:
Section 1. That the 12" main will be located 2 North
of the South right-of-way line and that the line will be lo-
cated with 3' of cover below the existing grade or below a
grade extending between the crown of road grade of Dixie High-
way, RoLite 1, and N. E. 7th Street, utilizing the most re-
strictive conditions.
Section 2. The Town of Highland Beach agrees to re-
place the str6et right-of-way in a like, or better condition,
and will abide by the specifications set by the City's ad-
ministration. The Town also agrees to bear the cost of any
adjustment or relocation when and if required by the City of
Boca Raton.
