Minutes of Meeting of Town Commission
SPECIAL MEETING
April 10, 1984 9.30 A.M.
A Special Meeting of the Town Commission was called to order by
Mayor Louis Y. Horton at 9 :30 a.m, in the Town Commission Chambers
at Town Hall. Also present were Vice Mayor Mary Louise G. Blosser,
Commissioners William E. Paul, Betty Jean Stewart, and Harry
Walker.
Also present were Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney; Town Manager
Elaine W. Roberts; Town Clerk Mary Ann Whaley; citizens and the
general public.
Newly employed patrolmen Joe Corsino and Ray Yeager were intro-
duced to the Town Commission. It was noted that the officers
would begin work with the Town on April 15, 1984.
Discussion was then held regarding the Co co de mer proposed
seawall. Representatives of the Bel Lido area, including Messrs.
Earl Totz and Lou Currie of Ocean Crest were present, as was a
representative of B & K Marine. After substantial discussion,
it was the consensus of the Town Commission that B & K Marine
re -draft the plans for the proposed seawall to locate same as
close to the coastal construction line as possible and furnishing
consistency with neighboring seawalls already in place. The new
plan will be submitted to the Town Commission at the April Workshop
Meeting for further study.
There being no further business to come before the Town Commission
at this Special Meeting, same was adjour ed at 10 :00 a.m.
