Highland Beach Town Conr-iission August 14, 1951 A continuation of a regular meeting recessed 8/7/51 The meeting was called to order at 7.30 p•m• by i,�Iayor Totterdale. Present were Commo Dubendorff Smith ' Totterdale & Hertwig. Comm. elect Harmon was absent, still being out of town- 1viinutes of the preceding meeting (8/7/51) wre,r read and approved on motion of Comm. Hertwig, seconded by Comm. Smith and affirmative votes of Comm. Smith, Dubendorff and Hertwig. !V yor Totterdale voted against the motion to approve the minutes. The clerk asked the Mayor if he wished to make any additions or changes in the minutes but he z declined, saying it eras his wish to make the meeting as brief one. bar. . F. W. Keeton and Mrs. S. C. Roth comprised the audience. itr Keeton representing the owners of the southerly half of lot 3U ,;15 in the P"erneliff sub-division, requested that said plot be ex- cluded from the single family residence zone because contrary, to general belief it was not so restr__ Lcted by deed. The several com- missioners advised 1 Keeton they would consider any evidence he could produce on the question because vdien the Zoning law was made the intention was to place in the Residence district only such plots as were so restricted by deed. fx. Keeton said he would advise the results of further investigations. iq S. C. Roth rmde a verbal request that the Commission do some thing about sand gr 11 pats stating that she believed a sale of her pro - - i adversely affected. The sand g nat question being a pert had beei U, very controversial one several diverg ent opinions were stated but no action was taken. The commission discussed an informal request from J. A. Dowers for a permit to place an apartment on the roof of his recently built garages By general agreemnat it was decided to advise Mr. Bowers that because of violation of the To= Zoning law, his request could not be considered until he obtains the consent of the adjoining property owner. T The Mayor presented for consideration a revision of his budget which bears date of July 3, 1951 and was mm previously _:resented for consideration at the meetin on August 7, 1951, at w4hich time action was deferred to allow time for study and analysis.
