Present were Cimm . Smith, Totterdale 8c Hertzrig. Co=. Dubendorff Iras absent, as was also Coom. Total value all to : =able personal property 28. Q _0 Total value all taxable property 587,357.00 Value of Homestead L emptions 81;75 Value of all other exemptions 1.000,00 _ Gross total assessed value of all property 570,117.00 The Commission reviewed the Tax Roll and the assessed valuations as shown theron and the Mayor inquired v hether there were any property owners or representatives of same rho wished to make any protest concerning the assessment roll. There were no such persons present and the several commissioners stated that they had received no notice that any such persons desired to be heard. After reviewing the assessment roll and a discussion of same the Commissioners decided to recess the meeting in order to permit further opportmnity for property owners to raise questions or make protests. Comm.. Smith moved that the meeting be recessed at the call of the k-ia.yor or until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday July 11th, 1951 at which time the Assessment Roll will be verified and made final with such cor- rection and aqualization as the Commission finds to be proper. The motion was seconded by Comm. Hertwig and passed by the affirmat, Live votes of Comm.. Smith, Totterdale and I3ertwig, and so the meet- ing was recessed. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Totterdale at 7:45 p ; Present were Comm. Smith, Totterdale & Hertwig Gomm.'Dubendorff and Heaton were absent. Mi:nutes,.of the meeting of June 5, 1951 were read and approved on motion of Comm. Smith, seconded by Comm.' Hertwig and affirmative votes of all three Commissioners present. The clerk read letter from Mr. Heaton, resigning as commiss cner. Cow." Hertwig moved that the resignation of Mr o' Heaton be accepted, effective imm ediately and that Pir. John F. Harmon be elected to serve as the fifth Town Commissioner. The notion was seconded by Comm. Smith and adopted by affirmative votes of Comm,. Smith, ` btterdale & Hertwig. Mayor Totterdale nowsprod reported receipt of check of $277:'50 sent to the Town by County Commissioner Sundy, this being the TortmIs share of the General Road and Bridge. On motion of Comm,' Hertwig, seconded by Comm. Smith and passed by affirmative votes of all three commissioners present the treasurer was authorized to pay current bills as follows; W. H. Hertwig presented a financial statement dated Julie 5, 1951; also a detailed analysis of receipts and disbursements of the water works. These two statements were presented at the meeting of June 5, 1951, but owing to the crowded program of that meeting, no time was given to their consideration, nor were they officially put in the record. The water works analysis will be placed with the Town financial records and the financial statement is shown on page 2 of.these minutes. on motion of Comm. Smith, seconded by Comm.: Hertwig XkK and passed by affirmative votes of all three commissioners present the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting to be the regular meeting on Aug. 7, 1951 except for the intervening meetings of the Equalization Board. Minutes of this meeting are complete on this page except for the financial statement which comprises page 2.
