Minutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. August 5, 1952• A regular monthly meeting. The meeting was called to order at 9:30 p.m by Viee Mayor Smith. Also present were Comm. Harmon Skillman and Hartwig. Mayor Totterdale was absent being out of town. Minutes of the meeting of July lst were read and approved on motion , of Comma Harmon, seconded by Comm. Skillman and the affirmative votes of all four commissioners present* The Tax eollector advised that all A& advalorem taxes for the year 1951 had been paid in full; also that check had been received from Florida Power & Light CO. for payment on the franchise in the amount of $372.63 ; also check from Palm Beach County in the amount of $305:50 as the Town share of the General Road &Bridge Fund. Comm. Hertwig moved that H. L. Cromer be authorized and directed to make a complete inspection and adjustment of the Town water main, valves and meters in order to eliminate water leakage, at a proper charge for work involved but not to exceed $50,,00 and to advise the Commissioners what it would .cost to do this every three months. The .motion was seconded by Comm.. Harmon and passed by affirmation votes of all four commissioners present. On motion of Comm- Harmoa, seconded by Comm' Skillman and apPro by the affirst» ative votes of all four Commissioners present, the treasurer was authorised and directed to pay the following bills; Howard &dth+- $120.00 for preliminary audit acco%ntiag, Delray Book Steep ,.$6.10, I1 ©ride Power 8c light Co. 04N.749 H. L. Crones ..$3&00 for repairs to valves at Bader jobs.. Clerk Hartwig advised that before leaving town, Mayor Totterdale had requested his to prepare an estimate of receipts and disburseeents for the coning fiscal year, based on the Taz roll now in process and related figures. The Mayo said a budget based on thz such figures will be presented for I aff"val du the estimates stt tad as or September.
