, Minutes. Equalization Board on Tax Assessments August'5 1952 Toum of Highland Beach.: recessed from July 17, 1 952. Tbe'meeting was called to order by Vice -Mayor Smith at _ 10: 30 p,mf following the regular monthly meeting of th#V date A lso present were present were Comm. Harmon Skillman & Hertwig Mayor Totterdale was absent being out of town. Minutes of the Equalisation Board meeting of July 17th were read and approved on motion of Comm. Hertwg, seconded by Comm. Harmon and affirmative votes of all four commissioners present. The Tax A ssessor reported that the assessment roll,as corrected and equalised to July 17, 1952 shows the following valuations; 1952 Tax Roll, Town of Highland Beach; Tota 1 value of all taxable real property - $ 600f000 total value of all taxable personal property Makn: Total value all taxable property 655.141© Homestead exemptions �1 54©,� Other exemptions 1:4. Gross total assessed value of all property $ ? 10 ' The Tax Assessor advised that the changes in the Tax Roll figures were due to eqqua1 bons and corrections made by the Board at the meeting ©f July 17th as well as mbbcerrors in adding up the tax roll earlier. Town C1erk.Hertwig reported that there had been no further in quiries or objections to the Assessment Roll and that it`would be in order to certify the final figures as shown above. A fter some discussion it was generally agreed that no harm would result from the delay and that the Board would recess to September 2 1952 following the regular September meeting of the Town Commission at which time it was beleved the full membership of the Commission would be on hand. Motion to recess to September 2nd following the regular month ly meeting of the Commission was made by Comm. Skillman` seconded by Comm.
