MINUTES-- HICHLAND BEACH TOWN COMMISSION - -- March 4, 1952• The meeting vas called to order at 7:50 p m: by Mayor Totterdale. Present were Comm. Harmon, Pickwell, Smith., Totterda.le & Hert*ig. The audience consisted of Mrs. Meril.da Peckham & IV. L. Due Minutes of the,. neeting of Feb. I.I., 1952 *ere read and approved on. motion of Comm:` Harmon, seconded by Comm. Pickwell and the affirm- ative votes of all five commissioners present. By general agreement the usual odder of business vas laid aside to consider the report of the committee appointed to look into the application of Mrs* Meriida Peekkam to have the boundaries of tke business: section modified so as t® inili de her property. The report of'- tke committee *as adverse to the granting . of the request. There was much discussion of the question and Mrs. Peckham spoke at some length in favor of her request. Comma. Hert*ig moved,tkat the matter be to Attorney Byrd for advice and cent. The motion: was seconded by Comm. Smith and passed by the affirmative 'voted of all five commissioners present. The clerk read letter dated 2A/ from George S. Brock - my which quotes a price of $15.00 per pa reel for parepa.ring. sketchers and legal descriptions for submission to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Board of the Ptate Land Dept, concerning the matter of the submerged lands. Comm. Hertwig moved that the committee be auth- orized to proceed to organize this project so that the property own- ers' can be contacted a.d their applications' filed s0 that the titles' t® these lands° cleareda COMM* Harmon seconnded the motion and it was passed by affirmative votes of all fire commiss`iomers present* On motion of Comm; Smith seconded by Comm*" Harmon and passed by af firmative votes of all Hve commissi©ners present, the mayor and T® Clerk were auth ®sized and directed to issue and post the ne cessarp notices f ®r the coming Town elections' and to make whateeer arrangements are required to properly ca' out said elections. Al to send an informial letter to residents arith the rater bills call- ing their attention to the said coming elections. The clerk read prepared Resolution # 26 approving a revised fora of application to be signed by -water consumers. It was approved by motion of Comm. Hertwig, seconded by Comm. Smith and'the affim- ative votes of all five commissioners present. The resolution appears in full on page 2 of these minutes.
