TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH
TOWN COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
PUBLIC HEARING
February 07, 1995 1.55 P M
Mayor Arlin Voress called the advertised Public Hearing to order in
Commission Chambers, immediately following the Town Commission Regular
Meeting, announcing its purpose was to consider a proposed ordinance amending
Chapter 30 [Zoning] .
All Commission members were present, as were Town Manager Mary Ann Mariano,
Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney
For the record, Acting Town Clerk Doris Trinley gave final reading, by title
only, as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH., FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 30 ENTITLED "ZONING," SECTION 5.1 (a)
AND (b), RELATING TO THE HEIGHT LIMITATIONS OF FENCES,
WALLS AND HEDGES.
There were no public comments or questions.
During discussion, it was noted that these amendments related to the
• allowable height of fences/walls/hedges on front property lines being changed
from 2-1/2' to 6'; and tennis court fences visible from any public roadway
being 10' high and concealed from public view. Further, a`11 tennis court
fences would have a maximum allowable height of 10'. All questions were
answered to the Commission's satisfaction.
In conclusion, MOTION to approve the amendment was made by COMMISSIONER
RAND/VICE MAYOR PAUL, followed by unanimous roll call vote.
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time,
Mayor Voress adjourned the Public Hearing at 2:05 P.M.
