TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH
MINUTES OF TOWN COMMISSION MEETING
PUBLIC HEARING
Fridav, September 08, 1995 5.01 P M
Mayor Arlin G. Voress called the Public Hearing to order in
Commission Chambers at 5:01 P.M. advising its purpose was to
receive public input regarding the 1995/1996 fiscal year budget.
Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll. The Mayor, Vice Mayor
Bill Paul and Commissioners David Augenstein, Arthur Eypel and John
F. Rand were present.
Town Manager Mary Ann Mariano, Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney and
Finance Director Michael Seaman were also present, as were members
of the general public.
Announcing that the millage rate would remain the same for the
coming fiscal year (4.0), Mayor Voress called for comments from
those in the audience; there were none.
Town Manager Mariano then read into the record a letter from
resident Jim Kelly of 2565 S. Ocean Blvd. (Townhouses of Highland
Beach). Mr. Kelly's schedule prevented his attendance at this
Public Hearing and his letter asked that Ms. Mariano represent his
interests (A copy of his letter, as well as Ms. Mariano's written
reply, are attached hereto and made part of these Minutes.)
Advising that the Special Meeting to adopt the 1995/1996 fiscal
year budget and related budget ordinances will be held Tuesday,
September 19, 1995 at 5:01 P.M., Mayor Voress adjourned the Public
Hearing upon MOTION by VICE MAYOR BILL PAUL/COMMISSIONER AUGENSTEIN
at 5:15 P.M.
