TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH
MINUTES OF TOWN COMMISSION MEETING
PUBLIC HEARING/SPECIAL MEETING
(CONTINUANCE)
Monday, September 22, 1997 5:01 P.M.
Mayor Arlin G. Voress called the Public Hearing/Special Meeting to
order in Commission Chambers at 5:01 P.M., advising its purpose was
to conduct a continuance of an advertised final budget hearing held
on Tuesday, September 16, 1997, and to consider adoption of the
1997/1998 fiscal year budget and related ordinances.
Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll. The Mayor, Vice Mayor
John F. Rand and Commissioners David Augenstein and Michael W. Hill
were present. Commissioner Thomas J. Reid was absent.
Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney and Finance Director Stanley M.
Novak were also present, as were members of the general public.
Town Manager Mary Ann Mariano was absent.
Mayor Voress called for public comments and, hearing none, closed
the Public Hearing and commenced the Special Meeting.
There was no discussion of the following ordinances, which were
given final reading:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH,FLORIDA, TO
EFFECT A TAX LEVY BASED UPON THE 1997 TAX ROLL OF THE
TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH.
Upon MOTION by COMMISSIONER AUGENSTEIN/COMMISSIONER HILL, the
ordinance was unanimously adopted following roll call vote.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1997/1998,
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1997, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1998.
Upon MOTION by COMMISSIONER HILL/COMMISSIONER AUGENSTEIN, the
ordinance was unanimously adopted following roll call vote.
There being no further business to come before the Commission at
this time, Mayor Voress adjourned the Special Meeting at 5:15 P.M.
upon MOTION by COMMISSIONER AUGENSTEIN/COMMISSIONER HILL.
