MINUTES OF TOWN COMMISSION MEETING
SPECIAL MEETING/ATTORNEY — CLIENT PRIVATE SESSION

Mayor Bernard Featherman called the Special Meeting/Attorney-Client Private Session to
order in Commission Chambers at 2:43 PM.
CALL TO ORDER:
Roll Call: Members present: Mayor Bernard Featherman; Vice Mayor Ron Brown;
Commissioner Doris M. Trinley; Commissioner Dennis J. Sheridan and Commissioner
Louis P. Stern. Also present: Town Attorney Glen J. Torcivia; Town Manager Kathleen
Dailey Weiser; Special Attorney Lyman Reynolds; Town Clerk Beverly M. Brown and the
Court Reporter.
Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Civility Pledge read into the record by Town Clerk Brown.
1. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS OR ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:
Agenda accepted as presented.
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS AND REOUESTS:
No Comments received.
3. TOWN ATTORNEY TORCIVIA
Attorney Torcivia stated that this was an Attorney -Client Private Session held in
accordance with Section 286.011(8) of the Florida State Statutes. The purpose of the
Private Session is for the Town Commission and Counsel to discuss settlement
negotiations or strategy related to the litigation in the Case of Dale S. Sugerman v.
Town of Highland Beach, Case No. 2011 CA01519XXXXMP filed October 3, 2011.
The entire session will be recorded by a Certified Court Reporter. This session will last
approximately one hour (sixty minutes).

Attending Closed Session: Mayor Bernard Featherman; Vice Mayor Ron Brown;
Commissioner Doris M.Trinley; Commissioner Dennis J. Sheridan and Commissioner
Louis P. Stern. Also present: Town Attorney Glen J. Torcivia; Town Manager Kathleen
Dailey Weiser; Special Attorney Lyman Reynolds; and the Court Reporter.
Mayor Featherman recessed the Special Meeting at 2:55 PM to excuse the Town
Clerk.
4. TERMINATION OF THE ATTORNEY -CLIENT MEETING
At the conclusion of the Attorney -Client Special Session, the Special Meeting was
Reconvened by Mayor Featherman at 3:38 PM. Town Clerk Brown called the Roll.

7. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Featherman adjourned the Special Meeting/Attorney Client Private Session
at 3:40 PM upon a MOTION by Commissioner Sheridan and seconded by
Commissioner Stern.
